The Town of Pleasant View is seeking a motivated and dedicated
individual with a strong work ethic and great people skills to
fill the position of Full Time Certified Building and Codes
Inspector. Our town is growing! We are excited to not only fill

The Certified Building and Codes Inspector is a full time
position that carries out guidelines of the Planning
Commission. The Building and Codes Inspector is responsible for
technical work in the enforcement of Building and Zoning Codes,
City Ordinances, inspection and maintenance of municipal
playground equipment, ADA inspections, and other duties as
assigned. Qualifications for the position include a valid
Tennessee driverís license, high school graduation or
equivalent, and current certification as Building Inspector by
the State of Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance
State Fire Marshalís Office. If not certified in Plumbing and
Mechanical, certifications must be obtained within 12 months of

The Town of Pleasant View is seeking a friendly and energetic
individual to fill the position of Deputy Clerk/Receptionist.
This position reports to the City Recorder and is responsible
for the performance of greeting the public, general office
duties, administering duties of the city court, and will be
working with all departments in the city. Qualifications
include a high school diploma from an accredited high school
with experience in business administration, accounting, or
related field a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
and have the ability to learn different software packages for
City Court and Building Department. Applicant must be eligible
to be bonded. Starting pay for the position is $14.31/hour.
Hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

View Christmas Parade has been Rescheduled to
Saturday, December 21, 2013 with
a 10 a.m. start time.
Pleasant View Elementary School

The parade begins at City
Hall on Highway 41A and
travels to Highway 49 where the
celebration continues to
Main Street and rolls to Church Street
ending at Pleasant View Elementary School.
The parade is open to all
participants with entries
needing to register by 4:00 p.m. on
Monday, December 2nd at City Hall.
